Kannawidan Festival
January 30 to February 3 is the day when
we celebrated Kannawidan Festival. Many people and tourists are there to see
how Kannawidan is. The venue is located the Quirino stadium.
January 31, we went to stadium to
participate in the said opening program of the Kannawidan. After that program,
my friends and I visit the different displays wherein the OTOP of the different
town are there and there are a lot of vegetables that are larger than the
vegetable s that we usually saw on a public market. After that, we rode on a
Ferris wheel and Carousel. In the evening, many artists came to our place to
perform in front of many people but sadly, I wasn’t able to go there to watch
some artists.
Kannawidan is referred to as the
showcase of Ilocano culture like the tradition, culture arts, crafts and
delicacies of Ilocos Sur.
